Featured Ingredients

Ceylon Cinnamon

What is Ceylon Cinnamon?

Ceylon Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), often called "true cinnamon," is a tree native to Sri Lanka and parts of southern India. It has been used for centuries in culinary traditions and traditional wellness practices.

Unlike Cassia cinnamon, Ceylon Cinnamon naturally contains significantly lower levels of coumarin, making it the preferred variety for many people seeking authentic cinnamon products.

Lirae uses premium Ceylon Cinnamon selected for quality, purity, and consistency.

MCT Oil

What is MCT Oil?

Medium-Chain Triglycerides (MCTs) are a type of dietary fat commonly derived from coconut oil or palm kernel oil.

Because MCTs are metabolized differently than long-chain fats, they are widely used in nutritional products and wellness formulations.

Within Lirae formulations, MCT Oil is included as part of our carefully designed ingredient profile.

Coumarin

What is Coumarin?

Coumarin is a naturally occurring aromatic compound found in many plants, including cinnamon.

Different cinnamon species contain different amounts of coumarin. Cassia cinnamon generally contains considerably more coumarin than Ceylon Cinnamon, which is one reason many consumers specifically seek Ceylon Cinnamon.

Understanding the difference between cinnamon varieties helps consumers make informed purchasing decisions.

Polyphenols

What are Polyphenols?

Polyphenols are naturally occurring plant compounds found in fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, tea, coffee, and many botanical ingredients.

They contribute to the natural composition of many plants and remain an active area of scientific research.

Ceylon Cinnamon naturally contains a variety of polyphenolic compounds that contribute to its botanical profile.

Antioxidants
What are Antioxidants?

Antioxidants are naturally occurring substances found in many plant foods.

Botanical ingredients such as herbs and spices naturally contain various antioxidant compounds as part of their complex chemical composition.

Researchers continue to study the role of plant-derived antioxidants within nutrition and food science.
